One of the first blog link-ups that I remember reading, long before I ever thought of writing at my own blogsite, was “The Simple Woman’s Daybook.” I was so intrigued by the thought of women sharing moments from their day with each other, bringing touches of beauty into each other’s lives. But I’ve never thought of linking my own post there, until now! For the week after Easter, when spring is on our minds, I thought a bit of reflection might be a bright spot. Spring feels so slow in coming this year! Barely above freezing temps are the forecast for this entire week.
I am thinking
the birds that are singing remind me that spring is already on the way, whether I feel it or not!
I am thankful
for the Resurrection! Jesus is alive and my heart is washed clean with His forgiveness!

One of my favorite things
is praying with a friend, and enjoying a cup of tea.
I am creating
a scrapbook-style wall hanging based on a handwritten devotional from a friend. Hopefully I can share the finished project in the next few weeks!
I am wearing
soft and stretchy black workout pants and my even softer purple hoody. –Standard Fibro garb! 🙂
I am reading
for good preparation times as my husband is scheduled for total knee replacement surgery on April 19th. OH Lord Jesus, help us to trust in your #Sufficiency even more!
I am learning
that it is good to be desperate for Jesus.

I’ve been loving the supplement of “Terra Greens” (from Doterra) added to my green smoothies. It has a spicy ginger undertone that really livens up my lunchtime!
In my garden
If I can’t enjoy the garden outside yet, then I can be thankful for the blessing of indoor garden blooms! This amaryllis is the same one from my post here in 2016!

Dear Donna, oh that does sound like a such blessing and a fun lunch-time treat. And, we are truly blessed with our washing machine–just a few years ago, it was a refurbished model from our local repairman, who has been so kind to us! He’s the one who made it so sparkly! 🙂

Dear Bettie, what a joy to walk through a sample day with you! It was so restful after the Easter busyness and put a smile on my face. I could just picture everything as you described and thoughtfully provided images of, including indoor plants, scenes and views, books and crafts, activities you are grateful to have the strength to do and refreshing drinks, all of which help to keep you sustained in every way. But the thing that amazed me most was seeing a beautiful amarylis still going strong! How do you do it? Ours lose their blooms, fade and die and have to be discarded after one season. 🙂 It really is life’s seemingly simplest things that we look back on and appreciate most of all, isn’t it? Maybe because they hold the key to daily contentment. How sweet of you to mention my poetry, and how lovely it would be if we could get together in real life to sit in our comfy clothes, sup tea, (eat cake?) and converse freely…aahhh! Oh, yes what a wonderful time we would have together, sharing tea and cake! I’m believing that Heaven’s tea-time will make up for all these longed-for moments! 🙂 And, thank you for all of your sweet comments, my friend. That amaryllis feels like a miracle plant to me also. After blooming in the winter, it goes outside to soak up the fresh summer air, but then must come inside to a dark cool place for several weeks in the fall to rest. I am never sure if it will survive, let alone bloom, as several other ones just keep chugging along, but never bloom. So, this one is always a special gift when it chooses to wake up with a fresh bud stalk! It is an encouraging moment for me, speaking of the Grace of God in the darkest places where we might find ourselves.Thank you for sharing these moments together.
