Sharing: Thread of Glory

I am so blessed and humbled to be sharing a post with my dear friend, Anna Smit, today. Her new site is called ShalomAleh, or Healing Leaves in Hebrew. She has been sharing her own precious testimony of how God is continuing to bring beautiful healing in her life, and she has invited dear friends to share their testimonies also.

Today, Anna is sharing a Devotional that she and I wrote together years ago, when we were part of a previous group, “Beloved Prodigal.” God brought such sweet fulfilling to us as we allowed Him to reveal the edits that have come about as He has worked in our lives.

I am so blessed to share it here, and I am so blessed to give you all a quick update about the miracles that the Lord worked in my husband’s Angioplasty yesterday. You may have read my previous post here yesterday, when I explained about his diagnosis of Cardiac Amyloidosis. Well, even the Doctor proclaimed that Barry’s case is quite “extraordinary.”

When the Doctors performed the Angioplasty yesterday morning, they found 2 blockages that were both at 90%!! We could have lost him at any time these past few months, not knowing that there was any blockage there. Thankfully, the Doctors put in 2 stents. But, if they had not already found the Cardiac Amyloidosis, they would have performed a heart bypass, and we might have lost him then. The condition of the amyloidosis made his heart not able to handle a bypass.

We are continuing to pray over the upcoming Valve Replacement Surgery, and we continue to pray for the hard diagnosis of the Amyloidosis. But we are praising God for the miracles that He has wrought this week! Truly, our God does have the last say.

And in this waiting time, we are lifting our eyes to Him, and asking Him to reveal to us the amazing places where HIS own thread of glory is being woven into our lives. Join me here to read Anna’s post, and the poem the Lord allowed us to share.

Since ancient times no one has heard,

    no ear has perceived,

no eye has seen any God besides you,

who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

Isaiah 64:4

            1. Oh dear Wendi, thank you so much for your precious prayers–both for my husband and for me! It is not easy to be away from him during the surgery and recovery. But I know that Jesus calms all my worries every time I look up to Him. It helps to know that you are praying!

                1. Dear Wendi, Yes, it is so very hard. So I appreciate your love and prayers so much. God is so good to help–we just found out the hospital opened some of their policies, and our son can be there as a support person! So praise God for His help for us in the hardest places.
