Are you in a place of dryness? My heart understands that longing also. So would you join me in this prayer, on a bright November weekend?
“Dear Jesus, we need your living water. We come before you with hearts that are filled with longing. As we touch your creation here, given to point us to you, we ask for your help to seek for more of YOU. We know that the water of this world will leave us empty and searching for more. So, Jesus, will you come and bring the filling that meets us in the center of our being?”

What a lovely photo, inspiring prayerful thoughts and inviting song! It reminded me of one by Casting Crowns about coming to the Well. It's hard to live a housebound life sometimes, isn't it? Our hearts yearn for sun, fresh air to breathe, visions of changing seasons and natural beauty to see. And that's not always possible with a limited window view.
These words spoke deep to me:
“We know that the water of this world
will leave us empty
and searching for more.
So, Jesus, will you come
and bring the filling
that meets us in the center of our being?
Only Jesus can fully satiate and satisfy our inner thirst. A world's weariness weighs heavy and we remember we are but dust as earthly concerns cling closely to us. Bless you, Bettie. This is a spiritual oasis for me today. Thank you, sweet friend! xox
Thanks for visiting my site today Bettie. Such a pleasure to “meet” you. I am a big fan of Meghan and her love for God. I can tell you feel love for our Savior by reading your prayer. I get excited about communing with Jesus. May we always seek Him and find refreshment in his living Word. Thank you for reminding us that Jesus is always near. Have a fantastic week and may God bless you and yours.
Dear Joy, Oh, yes, I am trying to learn to be thankful for the small touches with beauty–even when I want MORE, I know that only He will satiate and satisfy. I am thankful that you found an oasis in Him here today, my friend! And that is such a true thought that while we are here as dust, this earthly dust does weigh us down. Thanks for bringing your words here with you today! You are a blessing, my friend! xoxo
Hi Horace, Thank you for visiting here also! Yes, Meghan's love for Jesus is always such a bright light! Isn't God so good to let us share that light of His Word with each other? May Jesus bring you the Blessing of His Presence this week.
This is such a beautiful prayer, Bettie. The longings of my soul identify with it, and I am praying it with you. Blessings and hugs to you!
