It has been so long since I have been able to join in with the #HaikuPoetryChallenge at Ronovan Writes. Today is a quiet day here, one that fits so well with these words given for the prompt:
Beauty & Quiet
But I have calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content.Israel, put your hope in the Lord
both now and forevermore. Psalm 131:2-3
On days when I feel anything but calm and quiet, my Lord sends in His gifts of small beauty, and hope finds renewal once again.
I pray that He is renewing your hope today also my friends.
Your prayers for both myself and my husband have meant so much! I await an MRI on August 8 for possible Occipital Neuralgia, and my husband is pressing through exercises for shoulder impingement.
What a blessing to know that the quiet gifts of beauty are still here to be seen when we pause and open our eyes.
I am linking this week with:
A beautiful haiku Bettie, lovely to see you again at the weekly challenge 🙂💜

Dear sweet Bettie, your words and image are His peace to me. I pray He covers you and your husband with His peace in the waiting, in the persevering. August 8th is on my prayer calendar. Love, Julie

Now and forevermore we know where our hope comes from, even on days we are not ‘feeling’ it. I just love that rose image! So soft and inviting.

Dear Lynn,
Amen for your thoughts, “Now and forevermore we know where our hope comes from.” That knowledge really does make all the difference. I am so thankful for the rooted firmness that comes from Him there. Thank you for your sweet thoughts dear sister! Blessings and love to you today.
